Playa Marina is an “off-grid” environmentally friendly holiday destination powered by solar energy…
Your holiday destination in Lanzarote
Welcome to Playa Marina Eco Resort
Playa Marina Eco Resort located between Mala and Arrieta in the north of Lanzarote was built as a health centre by Doctor Jenny Tousgard and her her husband Boy Rist in the late 60’2.
Boy Rist was a highly decorated soldier in WW2. He received Norways highest award, the “Krigskorset med Sverd” (War Cross with Sword). There are fewer than 300 veterans awarded this medal.
Playa Marina was open for health-tourism until the late 1980s. From 1992 it was run by a German/Swiss tourism company until the early 2000s. Once again it is open for a unique tourist experience. The complex consists of 3 bungalows together with one main house, sheltered gardens and a unique swimming pool on the shoreline. There are hidden caves to explore at low tide and depending on the tides a secret sandy beach or a typical volcanic rock shoreline appears.
2 km to the North is the village of Arrieta where you can find a long sandy beach, stores, and restaurants. With direct and immediate access to the main LZ-1 road, it is conveniently connected with the rest of the Island.
We welcome you
